The Â鶹´«Ã½ State News won 45 awards, including first place in its division and College Journalist of the Year, at the Kentucky Press Association (KPA) convention Jan. 24 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Madisyn Ransey, a recent Â鶹´«Ã½ State University elementary education graduate from Â鶹´«Ã½, Kentucky, and Katelyn Gardner, a junior middle school education major from Erlanger, Kentucky, are the recipients of the 2024 Kentucky Education Association’s (KEA) Read Across America grant.

Thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the Department of Energy (DOE) awarded to Â鶹´«Ã½ State University in 2024, the University is collaborating with Paducah Tilghman High School and the Innovation Hub to incorporate environmental science into the school's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics curriculum.
